At Southwest church of Christ we believe that “Church” isn’t a place to go.  The church is a diverse group of people following Jesus together.  We believe we are to join God in the work He is doing to call all of His creation back home.  That means that we learn to love the things God loves.  We learn to do the things God, through Jesus, modelled for us.  We learn to live out God’s call for justice, peace, love, faithfulness, and unity.  And we do all this together, whether we are spending time in worship, service, study, or fellowship.

Statement of Belief

At SouthWest Church of Christ, we believe that the Bible is the foundation of our faith and practice. We believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, that He is the only means of salvation for our sins and that He rose from the dead. Our mission is to worship God, foster maturity within the church, share our faith, and serve our community. We believe that those who wish to obey Christ should repent of their sins, confess their faith, and be baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of their sins. We believe that the church is the Body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost and edify the saved. We also believe in the Scriptural teaching and observance of the Lord’s Supper each Sunday and Jesus Christ will one day return to take God’s children to be with him forever. 

Mission

At SouthWest church of Christ, our mission is to:

• Worship God with all our hearts, souls, and minds, in accordance with Matthew 22:37
• Foster maturity within the church by teaching obedience to God's commands, as stated in Matthew 28:20
• Share our faith and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as instructed in Matthew 28:19
• Serve our community by loving our neighbours as ourselves, as commanded in Matthew 22:39.

Bible class is at 9:30am Worship at 10:30am.
